This course has restrictions and strict equipment requirements as well as the absolute expectation that participants have the proper mindset that comes with the awesome responsibility of providing for the security of others.  As you read the following equipment requirements it should become apparent that we take the task of providing security for others very seriously and we expect class participants to take it seriously as well.

Each participant will need to bring:

           •         PA License to Carry Firearms

           •         Eye Protection

           •         Hearing Protection, muff type recommended

           •         Baseball Cap

           •         Shirt, jacket or other garment that conceals the gun from view while being carried (2nd Range Day)

           •         Pistol in caliber 9mm or larger WITH DOUBLE STACK MAGAZINES capable of holding at least 10 rounds each.  Read that again.  That means no LC9s, Shields, G43s, 1911s or any other single stack guns with aftermarket extended mags that make the gun a 10 round gun.  Seriously, don't show up with one.

           •         Holster –MUST BE A QUALITY STRONG SIDE BELT OR PADDLE HOLSTER (as in, no floppy cordura Uncle Mike's) THAT REMAINS OPEN AFTER THE HANDGUN IS DRAWN. NO INSIDE THE WAISTBAND HOLSTERS

           •         Tactical Flashlight (2nd range day)

           •         3 DOUBLESTACK Magazines capable of holding at least 10 rounds each

           •         Magazine Pouches

           •         Wear a good, stiff belt capable of securly holding your holster and mag pouches in place

           •         500 Rounds of Factory Ammunition

           •         Lunch

Bring a writing utensil if you want to take notes. You'll be provided with a handout.

This course involves an expectation that the participants be physically fit enough to:

* Assume a prone position, without assistance, and be able to go from prone to standing or kneeling without assistance

* Be able to endure lengthy periods of standing or walking

* Have sufficient physical dexterity in their hands that allow for fine motor control and manipulation of handgun controls and features

* Be able to withstand the mental and physical stress of a qualification course and practical shooting exercise involving threat and non-threat targets

There may be no more than 10 persons in the class but smaller numbers work better.
